Ask me this, or ask me that
Step off the pulpit in your brown leather spats
Keep your head high in the after math
Make something new, forge a new path
Eat only light, from the mountain's peak
Turn slowly now, when you turn to speak
Hate every breath you'll ever breathe
In this disdain is seen a fist, when the

I like it a lot too ^^ I love the opening line. It just seems the perfect thing to do with the phrase "ask me this". Once I saw it I thought: "Yes, of course..." And I like "brown leather spats". I couldn't swear that I fully understand what the poem is about (a conflict of philosophies? Leaving one way of living behind and choosing another?) but I love the sound of it and your choice of images.
